    Suggestions

    Rinse optional soaking add 1 cup peas to 3 cups water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook 30 to 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until peas are soft and breaking apart. Add salt toward the end of cooking to prevent tough skins.
